Veterans Coins Made to Honor Service
Challenge coins were born in the military, and for those who have hung up the uniform they carry just as much meaning as the day they were earned.
A custom veterans coin celebrates everything that came after the service too — the posts, the chapters, the reunions, and the lifelong bonds that never really end.
Posts and Chapters
VFW posts and American Legion chapters order coins bearing their post number and emblem to welcome new members and thank volunteers. They also use them to raise funds for the causes they support. A post charter anniversary is reason enough for a commemorative run.
Veteran motorcycle groups, honor guards, and service organizations use them the same way: as a badge of belonging you can carry in your pocket.
Reunions and Memorials
Reunions are some of our favorite coins to make. Whether it's a ship's crew marking fifty years since their last deployment, a squadron gathering for an anniversary, or an annual event that brings scattered brothers and sisters back together, a commemorative coin gives everyone a keepsake that outlasts the weekend. Memorial coins carry the most weight of all — honoring fallen friends, dedicating monuments, and giving Gold Star families a lasting tribute to hold onto. For presentations like these, ask us about velvet boxes, coin capsules, and other display options that make the moment feel as special as the coin itself.
Recognition never retires, either. Custom veteran coins are a favorite way to mark service milestones, celebrate a retirement, or simply thank a mentor who shaped a career. And because veterans set the tradition, they get to share it — many of our customers order coins to present to civilian supporters, charity partners, and family members who stood behind them through every deployment. Choose high-polished gold, silver, or copper plating, antique finishes, custom shapes, 3D sculpted designs, and full-color enamel — then add your unit insignia, post emblem, motto, or years of service. Our US-based art team draws every design for free with unlimited revisions, so the only thing you pay for is a coin you love!

Welcome
new members
A new member walking into the post should leave knowing they were expected. One with your post emblem or chapter insignia makes that welcome specific to your hall. Give it when you introduce them, and they have a reason to come back.
Thank staff
who served
Once it sits on a desk, coworkers can see service without a long story at lunch. Your veterans network can thank employees who wore the uniform, with a small flag beside your company mark. It gives the group a shared way to say we noticed.

Veterans Day
Veterans Day is the morning when the whole town looks toward the people who served. What you order for the ceremony goes home with them after the program ends. An antique finish feels right at the podium without looking stiff.

We've got answers
Everything you need to know about designing, ordering, and creating your custom veterans challenge coins.
We offer gold, silver and copper platings standard with our orders. We also offer upgraded antique finishes that give an aged look to your coins. Antique finishes help greatly when your design is mostly metal (die struck) as the darker recessed areas provide a greater contrast for text and fine lines. We also offer some specialty colored metals that have a similar appearance to powder-coating (no charge), black nickel (a shiny gunmetal appearance), and now an iridescent rainbow plating (price on request).
The minimum order is 50 coins, but we always recommend ordering 100 due to the quantity discount at this quantity. Typically ordering 100 coins is only ~20% more expensive than ordering 50.
Our coins are made from brass metal if they are round. If the coins are a special shape or feature a high-relief 3D design, the material is a zinc alloy. We can also make coins out of copper, iron, and aluminum depending on your needs.
We keep your coin’s mold for a period of 3 years. If you reorder in that 3 year period, the 3 year storage period starts over!
We have multiple options for production location depending on your design choice and budget. We have manufacturing here in Florida and also overseas. Please consult with one of our sale professionals about what will work best for your challenge coin order.
You do not pay for a mold fee again on a reorder as long as the previous mold is still on file (kept for 3 years from the latest order date).
