What are religious challenge coins?
Nondenominational churches, Baptist churches, Catholic parishes, and community churches order religious coins. So do men’s ministries, children’s ministries, military and veterans ministries, and chaplains. A coin tells the person who receives it that they belong, and people carry it every day. It lasts where a printed card or a T-shirt does not, and it can be passed on to the next person.
On the face, church challenge coins carry the congregation’s name and the year of a founding or a building dedication. A cross or the ministry’s own logo can join that lettering on Christian challenge coins. The coins are die struck in metal and can take enamel color if you want it. A hand raised in prayer can be sculpted in full relief with 3D challenge coins.

Change of
Pastors
When a church changes pastors or marks a milestone anniversary, every member receives a coin with the year and the words “passing the torch”. Members take that coin home, and it can be handed down when leadership changes again.
Retreat
Weekend
Every man at a men’s ministry retreat leaves with a coin that names the weekend. At the next gathering, the coin shows who was in the room.
Before
Deployment
Before a deployment, a chaplain or a military ministry places a coin in each service member’s hand. If you also want a coin for the unit itself, military challenge coins are made for that.

Churches and ministries ask these questions about the coins they order for their people.
Religious challenge coins are the coins a congregation or a ministry has made as its own. Someone in the group gives one to another person, who keeps it as a mark of belonging. The group’s mark stays readable on the metal after a printed card from the same day would be lost in a drawer.
A Christian challenge coin can show the season’s theme beside flames, a tree, a crown, or a dove. Text can run around the rim and across the face, and a name or a number can be engraved on the back of each coin. The outline can follow a shield or a church building with custom shape challenge coins.
Yes, you can put a Bible verse and a prayer on Christian coins. The verse appears as a reference such as John 15:13 with “No Greater Love” beside it, and the prayer can fill the back. Bible verse coins can also carry the ministry’s mission on that side.
Ministries and chaplains can order coins for their own people. A ministry network can order a new coin for its pastors and leaders each year, and any reorder keeps the mold on file for another 3 years. Chaplains who serve a sheriff’s office or a fire department order them, and military chaplains do as well.
The minimum order for religious challenge coins is 50 coins. You can begin there and order more when your group needs them.
Production takes 3-4 weeks after the proof is approved, plus about 2 business days in transit. Shipping is free to US addresses.
