Built Around the Badge
Ask any officer, and they’ll tell you that challenge coins are more than your average token. They are designed to symbolize honor, service, and shared purpose. Law enforcement groups across the country create custom coins to award the bravest and brightest members of their team, celebrate years of service, connect with the community, and to forge tighter bonds among officers.
Send the patch or badge artwork and we will match it, down to the wording around the seal. A sheriff’s office can center the star, and the thin blue line flag fits on the reverse. On a coin made for one person, you can add that officer’s badge number, and the whole coin can be cut as a badge or a star. K9, SWAT, motors, and corrections can each put their emblem on a coin the rest of the department does not carry.

Custom Shape
Outline
Cut the coin as a pair of handcuffs, the way this one holds a sheriff’s star and flag in the cuff. A star-shaped coin or a badge outline gives you the same instant read. People know it is law enforcement before they read a single word.
Give the unit
its own coin
Specialty coins should read as that unit and no other. A K9 team wants the dog in silhouette. If you run motors or SWAT, start from the patch on the vest, and add a bike if the unit lives on two wheels.
Present a coin
for bravery
Bravery deserves a coin the officer can show their kids. A promotion fits, and so does the retirement lunch once the stories start. Set some aside for your community day, shaped like the badge with a thin blue line along the edge.

We've got answers
Everything you need to know about designing, ordering, and creating your custom police challenge coins.
We offer gold, silver and copper platings standard with our orders. We also offer upgraded antique finishes that give an aged look to your coins. Antique finishes help greatly when your design is mostly metal (die struck) as the darker recessed areas provide a greater contrast for text and fine lines. We also offer some specialty colored metals that have a similar appearance to powder-coating (no charge), black nickel (a shiny gunmetal appearance), and now an iridescent rainbow plating (price on request).
The minimum order is 50 coins, but we always recommend ordering 100 due to the quantity discount at this quantity. Typically ordering 100 coins is only ~20% more expensive than ordering 50.
Our coins are made from brass metal if they are round. If the coins are a special shape or feature a high-relief 3D design, the material is a zinc alloy. We can also make coins out of copper, iron, and aluminum depending on your needs.
We keep your coin’s mold for a period of 3 years. If you reorder in that 3 year period, the 3 year storage period starts over!
We have multiple options for production location depending on your design choice and budget. We have manufacturing here in Florida and also overseas. Please consult with one of our sale professionals about what will work best for your challenge coin order.
You do not pay for a mold fee again on a reorder as long as the previous mold is still on file (kept for 3 years from the latest order date).
